FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you arrive.

Does FriendCon Fall 2026 cost anything?

No. General admission is completely free on both Friday and Saturday.

Do I need to register before I arrive?

No registration is required for general admission, and walk-ins are welcome. You can RSVP separately for an individual hosted game when you want to reserve a limited seat.

How do I reserve a seat in a scheduled game?

Open the FriendCon game listings, choose a session, and RSVP. A game RSVP saves your seat at that table; it is not required for general admission.

What is Play-to-Win?

Play one of the featured Play-to-Win games during FriendCon and enter for a chance to take home a copy. Entry and drawing details will be available at the convention.

Can I come by myself?

Yes. Volunteers can help solo attendees find a game and meet other players.

Do I need to know how to play?

No. Many hosts teach the rules at the table. Game listings will note when prior experience is helpful.

Should I bring a game?

You do not need to. Games will be available to borrow, and attendees and volunteers will bring games to share. You are also welcome to bring a favorite for open play.

Can I host a board game or RPG?

Yes. You can teach a board game, run a roleplaying session, or organize another tabletop activity. Add it to the FriendCon game listings so players can find it and RSVP.

Can I attend for only part of the convention?

Yes. Stop in for one game, part of a day, a full day, or both days. Attendees may arrive throughout the event.

Is FriendCon appropriate for children?

FriendCon is open to all ages, but an adult must accompany participants under 16. Saturday will include a Kids Block; the time is still to be announced.
