No one knows how the Stone got there, or what the runes cut into its surface might mean. Few even remember how the village sprang up around it. When storms roll up and the Stone pulls lightning from the sky, outsiders cringe and cower. But us? We barely even notice. We live here, see. This village, Stonetop—it’s our home. It’s not a glamorous place. Far from it. But we look out for each other. We might not always get along, but we’re a community. Everyone contributes. Everyone shares. And right now, as the first wildflowers bloom in the Flats and the trees bud in the Great Wood, trouble is a-brewing. The world itself is darkening, like the sky before a late-summer storm. Everyone can feel it. Folks are getting scared. You and me? We’re the ones folk look to when they’re scared. Like it or not, we’re the brave ones. The clever ones. And yeah, sure, the strange ones, too.
These are good people, here in Stonetop. Our kith and our kin. If we don’t step up to protect them, who will?

For this day of the 2shot, we will be going through the session zero process where we make characters and shape the world that session 1 will be based off of. It’s a super engaging but easy system and all play materials will be provided.

I would like to host two tables of Battle of Hoth. I'm more than willing to teach.

Star Wars: Battle of Hoth is a game of heroic and fast-paced battles of miniatures that's set on the ice planet Hoth and reenacts one of the most famous scenes of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
The game does have some team options, and this could work for learning, but it really does play better at 1v1.
Scenarios take well under 1 hour, but I would also like to play a campaign, which could reach about 2 hours (4-6 variable scenarios)

Become the new emperor of Rome in this strategic worker placement game set in 44 BC, Rome. Each turn, you will build structures in different provinces assigned to you through a rotating board. Balance war, politics, trade, and religion while scheming against your rival players.

In Age of Rome, each player is assigned a hero with their respective player board, then are given secret quests and starting resources of Denarii, Followers, Scheme tokens, Legions, and Votes. Then they spend up to nine rounds competing on a rotating board to earn Glory points.

Each round consists of four phases:
1) Scheme phase: An Event card is revealed and turn order is determined; players activate Schemes in turn order.
2) Building phase: Players build structures in turn order.
3) Action phase: Players take actions by placing Followers in turn order.
4) Income phase: Players receive Income and the Provinces board is adjusted.

Players can earn Glory points in various ways. They may build structures, place Followers to vote and win a majority, send Legions to conquer regions, trade or collect items, or even build a Pantheon. Completed secret quests also earn Glory points. After the 9th round, the game ends. The final score is determined and the player with the most Glory points is declared the new Emperor of Rome.
